SUNDOWN SWAY
(Live take)
For folks who haven't heard Project: The REAL NEW (or those who have and enjoyed it) I wanted to put out a more in-depth look at some of the music. This is a live take of the ending vamp from the fourth (and probably my favorite) track. Do you like vamps?
Sundown Sway (Live Version)
For folks who haven't availed themselves of Project: The REAL NEW (or those who have and enjoyed it) I wanted to put out a more in-depth look at the music of the project. This is a live take of the ending vamp from the fourth (and probably my favorite) track on the album, "Sundown Sway." Do you like vamps as much as I do?
Project: The REAL NEW - PhilK (Alternate Take)
A decidedly less acoustic sampling of my work, this is an abridged version of another tune from the upcoming project. The title comes from science fiction author Philip K. Dick, whose work is in large part responsible for the technopunk aesthetic that much of fiction employs today.
Project: The REAL NEW - The Way It Was (Mostly) Acoustic Version
A (mostly!) acoustic version of the first title off the first album I ever did back in 2020, "Project: The Real New." All of the tracks in said project were written, recorded and mixed by yours truly! If you like what you hear, the full album is on sale now! An MP3 version of this track is available, as a bonus purchase exclusively from this site.
THE OPAQUE EAVES - A TEAM REAL NEW ORIGINAL
I've had this melody floating around my manuscripts for a long time. I used it as part of a commission I once wrote for a clarinet ensemble, but other than that, it's actually never been put out in a public forum. Then, while I was going through my files not too long ago, I came across a rendition of this tune I'd done with multiple keyboards one night in late 2019, not long after starting grad school, as well as some videos I'd shot of the performance, clearly intending to post it, so I thought...why not finish the video and do so? In an upcoming record, this tune will probably get a more fully developed version, but for now, enjoy the late-night, pseudo-low-fi vibes of The Opaque Eaves, which isn't really a name that actually means anything. You may notice that not everything playing is reflected in the videos. Unfortunately, I'm somehow missing some footage with this one, so I tried to fill the empty space with fun special effects and stuff. Then again, I filmed and recorded this over two years ago, long before I was used to filming my overdubbed songs, so I hadn't yet developed the pretty rigorous filing system I use now to keep those complex videos straight. TL;DR, some footage is missing.
